At The Loom | Twill Gamp

This week, we're looking at making a twill gamp.

A gamp is a warp which is threaded differently in each section, giving you a variety of patterns to choose from. You can then take this threading and turn it into a piece of cloth threaded enturely with that pattern.

Although the set up takes quite a while, threading each section with a different number of threads, gamps are so valuable as a learning tool. They give you hundreds of pieces of information about different threading and treadling combinations in one piece of fabric.

If this is something you'd be interested in learning with us, why not send us an email
